Join our 9-day Buddhist Cultural Tour package in which we take you to the land of Buddha and world famous Buddhist monuments. Nepal is a multi-religious country with a lot of respect and acceptance between each other. Buddhism is one of well groomed religion here sharing the message of peace to the world.

This tour is a better amalgamation of popular Buddhist monuments in the country including the birthplace of Buddha- Lumbini. Starting from cultural center Kathmandu, this trip takes you to explore around Swyambhunath, Boudhnath, Kopan Monastery and other monuments. Further it extends to wonderful city of Pokhara to analyze natural aspects along with Buddhist influence through world peace pagoda, Gompas and Tibetan refugee camps. Lumbini is the focal point of all Buddhist where the greatest one was born.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Adventure Himalayan heartily welcomes you in this country of Lord Buddha. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu airport our representative meets and assists you in arranging your belongings. Then you’ll be taken to a chosen hotel, take rest and freshen up. At evening we organize a welcome dinner of authentic Nepalese cuisine. Participate and enjoy local cultures.

Day 02: Sightseeing of Swyambhunath and Boudhnath

Today we’re going to explore Swyambhu and Boudhnath Stupa. These are some of oldest Buddhist heritages bearing the history back to origin of Buddhism. A professional city guide will assist you to recognize the stories behind the monuments. Literally Swyambhunath means “the self-existed Buddha” whereas Boudhnath is a store of sacred energy. This big stupa is jewel point in the center of a natural mandala. Enjoy the visit and stay overnight in Kathmandu hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara

Our today’s plan is to travel to Pokhara city. After breakfast, we’ll take a tourist bus and start journey through the windy foothills. Along chilling sloppy hills, fast flowing rivers, rustic villages, towns and terraces, this will be fun journey. Visualize over traditional way of working in the fields. In Pokhara, you’ll have some time to roam around. This is an eco-cultural city with a many religious practices and monuments.

Day 04: Pokhara tour: World Peace Pagoda, Malepatan Gompa, Tibetan refugee camp

Pokhara has a large number of Buddhism followers including Tibetan refugees and Hindus who accept Buddhist practices with the same devotions. Today we’ll visit around some of the prominent Buddhist monuments of Pokhara. Firstly we’ll go to see World Peace Pagoda. It was made to spread the message of peace to the world. This is also a brilliant viewing point of Pokhara city and some of Annapurna Mountains. After there, we’ll head for another significant landmark of Malepatan Gompa and Tibetan refugee camps. These camps are the open museum for Tibetan religious practices, lifestyle and food habits. Stay overnight in Pokhara.

Day 05: Drive to Lumbini

Today we’ll drive to Lumbini. Lumbini is the center of Buddhism and the origin point of world peace message. Along the zigzag road and irregular hills this is an adventure ride. As the distance to Lumbini shortens by, the hills become smaller and the flat land of Terai appears. The climate is pretty warm there. Overnight Lumbini.

Day 06: Full day exploration of Lumbini

Today we’ll visit around the birthplace of Lord Buddha, an UNESCO world heritage site. This peace destination is much valuable for its historical, archeological and religious significances. Firstly we go to see Mayadevi temple: the exact place of Buddha born. The Marker Stone, Ashokan Pillar and Peace Pond are proving shrines of this fact. Explore around Sacred Garden, remaining of Monasteries associated with Buddha’s life, museum, peace pagoda and stupas made by several countries. Stay overnight in Lumbini.

Day 07: Drive/ fly back to Kathmandu

After breakfast, start driving journey back to Kathmandu. It will be so wonderful experience of traveling from one climatic/ecological zone to another. See flat lands, hills, unalike farmlands, villages, rivers and amazing wild habitats. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, stay overnight in a selected hotel. For alternate travel, there is flight connection between Kathmandu and Lumbini as well.

Day 08: Visit Kopan Monastry

Today we are going to visit to Kopan Monastry: one of biggest monastery in Kathmandu at splendid location. Drive half an hour from downtown and reach there to observe Buddhist practices and education. There are nearly 1500 monks showing their devotion over the religion. Explore the destination and drive back. Do some shopping and stay overnight.

Day 09: Final departure
