This is one the grandest walk in Nepalese Himalayas. Hiking through Everest trails offer astonishing view of four of world’s tallest mountains Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Makalu (8,481m). Firstly, we take you to some of the UNESCO heritages of Kathmandu valley reflecting religious and cultural values of it. Further, you’ll fly to Lukla and gradually ascend up to villages of Namche, Tengboche,  Dingboche, Lobuche and eventually to Everest Base camp (5,364m) and Kala Patthar (5,555m). Probably, there is nothing more spectacular than admiring the planet of snow peaks.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu

Welcome! Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu where you will be greeted by a representative from Adventure Himalayan. You will be taken to a chosen hotel in downtown of Kathmandu and relax in rest of time. At evening we accompany you for a welcome dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing tour& trek preparation

Today you’ll be visiting cultural monuments of Kathmandu valley. A professional culture guide will escort you to the destination and also recites the inside stories behind them. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square: a home of a living goddess, Pashupatinath: a Hindu temple, Swyambhunath and Boudhnath: two famous Buddhist stupas. After tour we’ll discuss about upcoming adventure trek as well as do some preparations.

Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, Trek to Phakding (2610m)

In the morning we fly to the mountain village of Luka (2800m). Lukla is the gateway for most of Everest region treks. Our first day of trekking starts through beautiful villages, forests, arid landscapes and the Valley of Dudhkoshi River. Relish short easy walk before reaching the small settlement of Phaking for overnight stop.

Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche (3446m)

Soon after leaving Phakding we follow the direction Dudhkoshi River, passing by several Sherpa villages. The trail takes us through tranquil forests of fir and rhododendron trees. In spring this area becomes colorful with variety of rhododendron flowers. Today you’ll see the first look of Everest (8,848m- top of the world) behind Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. Set overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

Trekking time: 5-6 hours.

Day 05: Acclimatization day

This is a rest day in Namche Bazaar. In high elevation there is possibility of high altitude sickness. So it’s a good idea to take rest and allow our body fit with altitude. In afternoon, we recommend you to hike to Khumjung (3,786m). It is a large Sherpa village with monasteries and cultural lifestyle. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 06: Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3860m)

Climb through the lush alpine forest admiring some species of Himalayan fauna like Pheasant, Himalayan Thar, Musk deer and birds. Further trail takes us to cross suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River and enters to Imja Khola valley. Then we climb steeply through rhododendron ad conifer forests to Tengboche at 3860m. This is the oldest and biggest Sherpa village in Khumbu region. Roam around the monasteries and watch sunset on majestic mountain panorama. Stay overnight in Tengboche.

Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4400m)

After breakfast journey goes downhill through a small settlement of Debuche. Further follow Imja Khola valley and steadily ascend to Pangboche village (3900m). This is the highest permanent settlement in Khumbu valley. Watch the close-up view of stunning Ama Dablam (6856m), Thamserku and many others. Ahead we’ll do a short steep climb to Dingboche and stay overnight in a local lodge.

Trekking time: 6 hours

Day 08: Acclimatization day

Dingboche has another day rest for acclimatization. Visit around the Dingboche village, nearby monasteries and climb to the top of a ridge to visualize picturesque Himalayas including Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8201m) and Makalu (8481m). Hike back to Dingboche and stay overnight in a local lodge.

Day 09: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m)

Today also each section of the trail offers the sparking view of majestic peaks. Trek through arid landscapes, valleys and villages. Stop at Dughla (4620m) for lunch and further ascend through the moraine of Khumbu Glacier. Along the way you can see prayer flags and stones erected on the memories of those died on Everest climbing. We’ll stretch our legs till to Lobuche for overnight stay.

Trekking time: 5-6 hours

Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep, Hike to Everest Base Camp (5364m)

Today is the most outstanding section of our trip. This is hard and long day walk but we’ll attain our destination- Everest Base Camp (5364m). Following the Khumbu glacier reach to Gorakshep, settle your stuffs in a local lodge and continue to base camp through glacier moraine. EBC is the ideal place of scenic beauty, offering delightful mountain sceneries in all direction. Record lifelong memories and return back to Gorak Shep for overnight stay.

Day 11: Hike to Kala Patthar (5,555m), trek back to Pheriche (4,280m)

Today is another tough day as we ascend to Kala Pattar (5,555m) - the highest point of this trip. From there sunrise and close-up view of world’s highest mountains are just jaw-dropping. You can also see various expedition routes around Everest. We return back to Gorakshep and continue descending back to Pheriche via Lobuche village. Overnight Pheriche.

Day 12: Trek from Pherice to Tengboche (4200m)

After breakfast, continue retrace back to Tengboche. Walk through Somare, Pangboche, Deboche and other little settlements. While passing though the forests, you may encounter some alpine species like Pheasant (national bird of Nepal), musk deer etc.

Day 13: Trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazar (3440m)

Today we’ll descend down to Namche Bazaar. It is an easy downhill walk through lush forests, scattered settlements and rare mountain views. Namche is a developed mountain village with lots of modern facilities. Enjoy the services and stay overnight.

Day 14: Trek from Namche to Lukla (2,800m)

Trek through steep downhill, passing by villages and crossing several suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi River. Path looks familiar as we have already made it. Arriving Lukla valley, explores around, chitchat with locals and stay overnight.

Day 15: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

After breakfast fly back to Kathmandu. This is one more chance to admire magnificent mountain panorama. Upon arriving Kathmandu, shift to hotel and stay relax. Overnight hotel.

Day 16: Rest day in Kathmandu

Today is your free day in Kathmandu. Either you can relax or discover the places that you missed before. Thamel is a famous place for souvenir shopping, get some gifts to your friends and families.

Day 17: Final departure

Everest Base Camp Trekking package comes to an end today! Approximately three hours before your scheduled flight, transfer to airport and fly to your onward destination. Adventure Himalayan will love to see you again.
