Everest view trekking is one of easiest trekking to hometown of Mt. Everest (8,848m). This trip offers enticing view of several mighty peaks from around lower part of Khumbu region. Our, Adventure Himalayan’s 10 days Everest view trekking begins with short scenic flight to Lukla valley. Then you’ll be trekking northward to several Sherpa settlements. Tengboche (3,870m) is the highest point offering fine glimpse of Mt. Everest, Thamserku (6,623m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), Lhotse (8,516m) and Nuptse along with Buddhist cultural significances of local village.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,238m)

Day 03: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,652m)

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

Day 05: Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar- day hike to Khumjung (3,810m)

Day 06: Trek to Tengboche (3,870m)

Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Monjo (2,840m)

Day 08: Trek from Monjo to Lukla

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,238m)

Welcome! Upon your arrival, a representative from Adventure Himalayan welcomes you at the arrival gate of Tribhuvan international airport, Kathmandu. Then you’ll be taken to a chosen hotel in downtown of Kathmandu. At evening we offer you a welcome dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine along with cultural dance presentation.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing tour

Today you’ll be exploring around UNESCO cultural heritages of Kathmandu city. Kathmandu has a varied amalgamation of religions, traditions and cultural practices. A professional culture guide will escort you to Swoyambhunath stupa, Kathmandu Durbar square, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. These sacred destinations carry the history of human civilization in the valley.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,652m)

After breakfast, we’ll make 40 minutes scenic flight to Lukla (2,800m). The view of valleys, green hills, terraces and towering snow peak are just unbelievable. At Lukla we’ll meet our all crew members followed by beginning of trek. To northward of Lukla valley we’ll walk through lush forest, rocky trails and eventually reach to Phakding village for overnight stop.

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)


Today most part of trail goes against the stream of Dudhkhosi river. We’ll walk through pine forest, suspension bridges and scattered settlements. The fine view of Mt Thamserku (6,618m) is the biggest inspiration. Pass by villages of Benkar, Monjo, Jorsale and ultimately reach to Namche bazaar. Namche is one of biggest trading center of Khumbu region.

Trekking time: 5-6 hours

Day 05: Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar- day hike to Khumjung (3,810m)

To high elevation taking percussion again AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) is necessary. So, we’ll take a day rest thereby acclimatize our body with that atmosphere. But instead of staying idle, we advise you to explore around and hike to nearby Khumjung village (3,786m). This is a big Sherpa village with a many Buddhist cultural significances. Overnight Namche.

Hiking time: 2-3 hours

Day 06: Trek to Tengboche (3,870m)

In the morning, we’ll climb to airstrip of Syangboche for good view of some of highest mountain in the world including Mt Everest (8,848m). Further trek extends through many small villages, fir forest, suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi River and rising-falling trail. Tengboche is one of biggest and oldest Sherpa village in Khumbu. It offers jaw-dropping view of Everest, Lhotse (8,516m), Nuptse (7,861m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), Thamserku (6,623m) and etc. Explore around Tengboche Gompa and local area.

Trekking time: 4-5 hours

Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Monjo (2,840m)

By today our returning trip begins. Walk downhill along Dudh Koshi River, rhododendron and fir forest. Spring would become more colorful with rhododendron flower and tree leaves. By lunch time we’ll arrive in Namche where we’ll spend some time chitchatting with local people. Furthermore, a section of descending path after the confluence of Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi River takes us to Monjo village for overnight rest.

Trekking time: 4-5 hours

Day 08: Trek from Monjo to Lukla

This is our last trekking day. Walk through dropping trails, little settlements and lush forest. The distance views of silver mountains are still marvelous. Lukla is a prosperous village with preferred Buddhist practises. Visit around and stay overnight.

Trekking time: 4-5 hours

Day 09: Fly back to Kathmandu

By a morning flight, fly back to Kathmandu. Upon arriving in the capital shift to a selected hotel, freshen up, take rest and explore around. Our recommendation is buy some souvenir gifts for your friends and family. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Final departure

Everest View Trekking trip comes to an end today! Approximately three hours before your scheduled flight, transfer to airport and fly to your onward destination. Adventure Himalayan wishes your safe journey ahead.
