Welcome to Adventure Himalayan Kathmandu Cultural Tour plan. It is a 7 days tour plan in and around of Kathmandu valley, taking our visitors to several of cultural, religious, ancient and spiritual destinations.
Nepal is a small country of sublime sceneries, centuries old temples, monuments and finest artifacts. Along with scintillating natural heritages, it has got appreciation on cultural complexity and unique practices. In this tour package we’ll present Kathmandu’s cultural history along with legends and thoughtful sayings. Kathmandu valley has got 7 UNESCO cultural heritage sites (probably the highest number in world within the periphery of 20kms). Visit old Royal Palaces of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan, Pashupatinath Temple, Swyambhunath stupa, Boudhnath Stupa, Enjoy sunrise and Mountain View from Nagarkot, explore ancient Newari town of Dhulikhel and monasteries of Namo Buddha. This could be a perfect trip for those keeping interest in cultural life and have faith in Hinduism and Buddhism.

Day 01: Kathmandu arrival
Day 02: Sightseeing of Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Pashupatinath

Day 04: Visit Boudha and Drive to Nagarkot (2195m)

Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu arrival
On your arrival in Kathmandu airport, a representative from Adventure Himalayan meets you at the arrival gate. Take short time for introduction and casual talk. Then you will be taken to a chosen hotel in downtown of Kathmandu. At evening there will be a welcome dinner program in an authentic Nepali restaurant. Enjoy Nepalese cuisine along with cultural dance presentation.

Day 02: Sightseeing of Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Pashupatinath
Today we’ll take you to a Buddhist stupa called Swyambhunath, an old palace called Kathmandu Durbar Square, and a Hindu temple called Pashupatinath Temple. A professional city guide will guide us to these architectural marvels of ancient and medieval Nepal. Swyambu is one of oldest and most sacred place of all Buddhist whereas Pashupatinath is holiest of all Hindu Pilgrimage. Kathmandu Durbar Square holds old Royal palace, also house of Living Goddess Kumari and many other temples. Explore the sites and learn insight stories behind them.
Meal: Breakfast
Day 03: Visit Patan and Bhaktapur
Today we’ll visit two more UNESCO heritage sites: Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares. Patan is oldest town among three cities with huge collection of finest wood, stone and metal work. Visit Krishna temple, palace (now: museum), Bangalamikhi temple, Golden temple and Viharas.
After lunch, drive to Bhaktapur: the city of devotees. This ancient Newari settlement has number of historical squares, temples, wood and metal craft factories. Explore the city and drive back to Kathmandu and stay overnight.

Day 04: Visit Boudha and Drive to Nagarkot (2195m)
After breakfast go for sightseeing tour to Boudhnath: one of the biggest Buddhist stupas in the world. Make Kora (making clockwise round of stupa) and understand the historic values of it. Thereafter we’ll drive to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a splendid viewpoint of picturesque Himalaya, charming sunrise and sunset. In the clear day, we can see a glimpse of Mt Everest (8848m) to the far. Overnight in Nagarkot.

Driving time: 1 hour
Day 05: Drive to Dhulikhel, explore ancient town
Wake up early in the morning to grab sunrise view over the mountains. The first rays of sunlight striking to Himalayas and making it colorful is just out of world’s beauty. After breakfast we’ll shift from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel is an ancient Newari town with preserved cultural lifestyle and traditional housing pattern. It is also an eco-friendly scenic forested region. Make a round around the town, do chitchat with villagers and spend a peaceful night.
Meal: Breakfast, lunch and Dinner
Day 06: Explore Namobuddha, drive to Kathmandu
Breakfast in the hotel is followed by a short drive to Namobuddha (1750m). Namobuddha is an important Buddhist pilgrimage destination with lovingly build stupas and shrines. Explore around monasteries, local villages settled mostly by Tamang people and other amazing sceneries. At late afternoon drive back to Kathmandu and celebrate your last night in Nepal.

Day 07: Final departure
This is the last day of our 7 days Kathmandu Cultural Tour. Share your experience with us and if time allows go for shopping. Approximately three hours before your scheduled flight we’ll drive you to airport and fly away. Adventure Himalayan sincerely thanks you for being with us.
