This trek starts with jeep/bus ride from Kathmandu to mountain town of Syabrubensi. Further as soon as trekking starts, you’ll get an authentic wildlife experience along with scattered ethnic villages and dramatic landscapes. Langtang village (3,430m) and Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) are two imposing places offering astonishing Himalayan panorama. These villages are so rich in Tibetan cultures and life practices. You’ll hike to Tserko-Ri for more wonderful mountain serenity. Langtang is more like Tibet- its geography and people’s livelihood are identical to them. We offer you to explore Nepal’s rural beauty.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1338m)

Welcome in Nepal! With a display board for Adventure Himalayan, our airport representative meets you at the arrival gate of Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. By private car/van/bus, you’ll be taken to a chosen hotel in downtown. At evening we’ll organize a welcome dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant where you can enjoy Nepali cultural dance presentation as well.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing tour

Today is for exploration around cultural heritages within city. A profession culture guide will escort you to the monuments - Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swyambhunath and Boudhnath stupa. S/he will also speak about history, believes and significances behind them. Nepal has tolerance between different religions that you can experience in every destination you explore. Take a glace of Nepalese artistic skills and unique life practices as well.

Meal: Breakfast.

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubenshi (1,550m)

Your mountain journey begins with an adventure drive to Syabrubensi. The hilly road along north western hills of Kathmandu takes you though small towns, rustic villages, forests and ever-changing natural serenity. The countryside of Nepal is so splendid mostly untouched by any modernized activity.

Driving time: Approx. 7 hours

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m)

After an early breakfast, start the first day of trek. The trek to Lama Hotel is a gradual uphill through dense forest, line of Langtnag River, suspension bridges and waterfalls. Langtang is the natural habitat of endanger Red Panda, sometime seen from bamboo bushes. Lunch at Bambo (1,9700m) and reach to Lama Hotel for overnight stay.

Trekking time: 6 hours

Day 05: Trek to Langtang village (3,430m)

Today we’ll enter to mountain valley of Langtang. The first part of walk is steep climb through forest and from somewhere at hilltop village, it extends gradually and ultimately timberline disappears. After lunch time in Goda Tabela (Horse Stable) Mani wall, water mills, chorten and prayer wheels are often spotted. Overnight in Langtang village.

Trekking time: 5-6 hours

Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m)

Today we’ll walk through scenic valley encircle by mountain serenity. It is an easy short trail passing by yak pastures, Mani walls and a few teahouses. In high elevation some might get breathing difficulties, so walk slowly and take it easy.
Kyanjin Gompa offers panoramic view of Himalayan peaks including Langtnag Lirung (7,227m), Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Yala Peak (5,520m). Enjoy the view and stay overnight.

Trekking time: 3 hours

Day 07: Hike to Tserko-Ri (4,984m) and trek back to Langtnag village

We’ll start early and hike to Tserko Ri (4,984m). Along uphill and icy path, it is quite challenging part of trip. Tserko-Ri is the brilliant viewing point of endless Himalayan vistas. Cherish the moment with thousands of central Himalayan Mountains and return to Kyanjin Gompa. After lunch time continue back to Langtang village and stay overnight.

Trekking time: 5-6 hours

Day 08: Trek back to Syabribensi

Today we’ll retrace the way down to Syabribensi. Walk thorough scattered villages, thick forest and explore wild creatures. Since trail goes mostly downhill, it isn’t difficult to walk even though the journey is long.

Trekking time: 5 hours

Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu

After breakfast start driving back to Kathmandu. Road is pretty zigzag and bumpy but still scenic and peaceful. After arriving Kathmandu, you’ll have free time to relax or roam around. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Driving time: 7 hours

Day 10: Final Departure

This is the final day of Langtang valley trekking trip. We you have greater experience visiting with us. Approximately three hours before your scheduled flight, transfer to airport and fly to your onward destination.
